What happened: Burroughs said he wants to share the stage with St-Pierre while honoring the former UFC champion’s legacy. He framed the proposed contest as competition rather than humiliation.

Why it matters: The matchup would pair an Olympic gold medalist and six-time world champion with one of MMA’s most accomplished champions. Burroughs’ move into RAF has opened the door to crossover wrestling matches with MMA veterans.

By the numbers: Burroughs won at RAF 12 by an 11-0 technical-superiority result, ending the match before two full periods.

What to watch: A response from St-Pierre or a formal booking would move the public challenge toward an event.
