What happened: Jordan Watkins caught four passes for 64 yards and ran three times for 27 more Thursday against Las Vegas. His longest reception covered 21 yards.

Why it matters: The performance strengthened his case in a crowded receiver competition before the 53-man roster deadline. His work on designed runs gave evaluators another potential role to weigh.

By the numbers: Watkins totaled 91 yards from scrimmage on seven touches, averaging 13.0 yards per touch. He averaged 16.0 yards per reception and 9.0 per carry.

What to watch: The roster decision comes Sunday, followed by preparation for Week 1 of the 2026 season.
