What happened: Joseph Paintsil earned a place on the MLS Team of the Matchday. The selection was listed Oct. 26 during the 2026 MLS postseason. It follows Paintsil's 72nd-minute appearance noted Oct. 25.

Why it matters: Matchday honors mark players carrying form into the postseason stretch. Recognition for a winger points to decisive attacking output when rotation tightens. Such nods can strengthen a case for continued starting minutes.

What to watch: Watch whether Paintsil retains a starting role in the next postseason matchday.
