What happened: Aaron Judge and Mike Trout lead the American League’s elected starters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. Shea Langeliers, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ernie Clement, Junior Caminero, Bobby Witt Jr., Byron Buxton and Yordan Alvarez complete the group, though Guerrero will not play.

Why it matters: The selections pair established stars with first-time All-Stars Langeliers and Clement. Guerrero’s absence creates an opening at first base when the American League takes the field July 14.

By the numbers: Trout earned his 12th All-Star selection, Judge his eighth and Guerrero his sixth. Langeliers has 20 home runs, while Clement entered the roster announcement with a .753 OPS and 1.1 fWAR.

What to watch: The American League’s finalized defensive alignment and batting order will come into focus before the July 14 game.
