What happened: Junior Caminero enters his first World Series after an ALCS power surge opposite National League captain Christian Yelich for Friday's opener. During Thursday's workout session, Caminero hit three warmup home runs and struck the stadium scoreboard in batting practice.

Why it matters: Yelich guides his club back to the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982, ending a 44-year league pennant drought. On the opposite side, the 23-year-old Caminero anchors the offense after homering on October 20 with the American League berth on the line.

What to watch: First pitch of the best-of-seven series is set for Friday night.
