"It means I am almost as old as Cam," 🤣 Alvin Kamara on becoming the 6th player in @NFL history to record at least 5,00 Via @Saints on X

What happened: Kamara's 5,000-yard rushing and receiving milestone made him the sixth player in NFL history to reach both marks. He joked the feat means he is almost as old as Cam.

Why it matters: The dual mark reflects nine seasons of dual-threat production since his 2017 third-round selection out of Tennessee. He ran 131 times for 471 yards and 1 touchdown in 11 games in 2025.

By the numbers: 5,000+ career rushing yards and 5,000+ career receiving yards; 6th player in NFL history to reach both; drafted 67th overall in 2017; 2025: 131 carries, 471 yards, 1 TD in 11 games.

What to watch: New Orleans continues its regular-season slate with Kamara leading the backfield rotation.
