What happened: Kawhi Leonard is back with Toronto Raptors entering 2026-27 camp alongside a revamped supporting cast. The roster keeps familiar branding but turns on different personnel that must establish chemistry.

Why it matters: Toronto committed two years and $115M to Leonard on Sept. 25, tying its short-term ceiling to his availability and fit. How quickly the new group coheres will shape early preseason rotation decisions and workload plans.

What to watch: Leonard continues a preseason ramp-up with a return targeted for next week at the earliest. Early camp sessions will show which combinations open alongside him.
