What happened: Kel'El Ware recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds to notch a double-double during preseason action for Milwaukee, converting at the rim on the interior. Acquired from Miami in the June Giannis Antetokounmpo blockbuster, the center anchored the paint with productive glass work prior to the 2026-27 regular season.

Why it matters: Ware pairs with Myles Turner in a retooled frontcourt as Milwaukee navigates the 2026-27 campaign without its own first-round draft pick. Productive preseason minutes reinforce his role in the frontcourt rotation following offseason trade inquiries from rival clubs.

What to watch: Milwaukee hosts its regular-season home opener on Oct. 23, which will establish Ware's official rotation workload alongside Turner.
