What happened: ESPN analyst Kevin Clark expressed confidence in the Los Angeles Rams' trajectory, stating the team will improve as Myles Garrett rejoins the lineup. Garrett is designated to return from injured reserve as he nears his season debut.

Why it matters: Los Angeles remains in contention for an NFC wild-card spot after surrendering just nine points to the Chargers in its previous victory. Adding an elite edge rusher reinforces a defense aiming to sustain momentum in the conference race.

What to watch: The Rams host the Washington Commanders on Sunday, with Garrett on track to be activated ahead of kickoff.
