What happened: The Las Vegas Raiders showcased veteran signal-caller Kirk Cousins on Tuesday during the team's 2026 Media Day festivities. Cousins, who signed a fully guaranteed contract in April, was seen participating in promotional shoots and social media segments as the franchise concludes its offseason program.

Why it matters: Following a league-worst 3-14 finish in 2025, the Raiders are utilizing Cousins as a bridge starter to mentor No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. His familiarity with head coach Klint Kubiak’s scheme is expected to stabilize an offense that averaged just 14.2 points per game during the previous campaign.

What to watch: The Raiders will move into mandatory minicamp next week as the quarterback competition enters its final phase before training camp in July.
