What happened: Josh Hart took the court with a miniature Larry O'Brien Trophy woven into his braids. The look coincided with New York raising its championship banner before the home opener.

Why it matters: The banner ceremony opened the team's title defense at home. Hart's tribute made the celebration player-specific and gave the opener a distinct visual marker.

What to watch: New York begins its title defense with the opener now underway.
