Kyler Gordon turns 17 snaps into defensive player of the week buzz for Bears

Three sacks and two forced fumbles in a limited return puts him in the slot defender debate.

Kyler Gordon playing just 17 snaps(!) but still ending the day with 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles is wild. Via @RapSheet on X

What happened: Chicago activated Kyler Gordon from the Reserve PUP list for a limited Sunday role. He played 17 snaps and finished with 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. The output came after 7 tackles and 1 sack in 3 games in 2025.

Why it matters: That per snap disruption from the slot changes protection math for opposing offenses. Chicago can blitz less and still get home when Gordon times the snap. If he holds up in full time work, he is in the best nickel conversation now.
