What happened: The 22-year-old midfielder will occupy an international roster slot and join as a U22 Initiative player, pending his ITC and P-1 visa. He spent his entire professional career at Orense after coming through its youth system.

Why it matters: Vásquez adds a young defensive midfielder for LAFC's stretch run. The long-term deal gives the club multiple seasons to develop him within its midfield rotation.

By the numbers: Vásquez made 91 appearances, including 76 starts, with five goals and seven assists across all competitions for Orense. He started all 26 of his 2026 league appearances, recording four goals and three assists.

What to watch: His addition now hinges on receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 visa. His place in LAFC's midfield rotation will come into focus after those clearances arrive.
