What happened: The 20-year-old forward joins MLS from Brazil’s second tier. The deal closed at the end of the summer transfer window.

Why it matters: The move adds a developmental attacker during LAFC’s Western Conference playoff push. Eleven regular-season matches remain for him to earn a role before the postseason.

By the numbers: Roberth has eight goals and eight assists in 2026, tying for Avaí’s lead in both categories. LAFC is 10-7-6 with 36 points and a plus-14 goal difference.
