Only two available official roster players (non-two-ways) didn’t play in the first three quarters: Jarred Vanderbilt and Via @jovanbuha on X

What happened: Los Angeles carried a 99-77 lead over Sacramento into the late third, hitting 18 3-pointers. Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht were the only available standard-contract players yet to enter.

Why it matters: Both forwards have surfaced in trade speculation ahead of the opener. Opening-night rotation spots remain unsettled during 2026-27 preseason.

By the numbers: Lakers 99, Kings 77 in third quarter; Los Angeles 18 3-pointers, one shy of last

What to watch: Watch fourth-quarter substitutions and the next availability update for rotation status.
