Three takeaways from the Lakers’ preseason win over the Kings https://t.co/PvJSwl3sqH Via @jovanbuha on X

What happened: Los Angeles Lakers drew Sacramento Kings in preseason play. The scheduled meeting with Golden State has not started yet.

Why it matters: Preseason minutes shape rotation order before the 2026-27 schedule opens. Scoreless line at 0-0 leaves evaluation tied to matchups rather than results.

What to watch: Los Angeles tips against Golden State next on the scheduled slate. Rotation choices from the Kings matchup carry into that outing.
