Very well reasoned and perfectly articulated, Steve. Via @WerderEdNFL on X

What happened: Philadelphia drafted Johnson fourth overall in 2013 out of Oklahoma. He appeared in 10 games for the Eagles in 2025.

Why it matters: Losing a long-term starter forces Philadelphia to reset at a premium line spot during the 2026 regular season. The exit leaves the Eagles to sort depth and replacements at tackle.

By the numbers: Drafted 4th overall in 2013 out of Oklahoma (as of 2026-09-29). 1 tackle in 10 games in 2025 with Eagles (per ESPN, as of 2026-09-29).

What to watch: Watch how Philadelphia fills the opening on the offensive line in the coming weeks.
