What happened: Dylan Larkin expanded his trade list, per The Athletic, with the Montreal Canadiens still absent from his approved destinations. The update keeps Montreal out as Detroit works through his request.

Why it matters: Montreal is searching for a second-line center, the role Larkin would fill. The continued exclusion closes a popular fix even as fan support for a deal has grown.

What to watch: Detroit continues to work through the request. Montreal must look elsewhere for center help if the stance holds.
