What happened: LeBron James and Jaylen Brown were on the floor together in South Philadelphia on Saturday as members of the Philadelphia 76ers. The pairing arrives as the league shifts from offseason churn into the 2026-27 preseason.

Why it matters: For Philadelphia, the next question is how quickly James and Brown turn star power into a working partnership on a new roster. Early on-court reps matter more than usual when a team has rebuilt its top line ahead of a new season.

What to watch: Watch for how much time the 76ers give the duo together once preseason action begins. Their early usage should offer the first clues about how Philadelphia plans to build around them.
