What happened: James finished an alley-oop dunk during Philadelphia's Blue x White scrimmage Saturday as camp continued ahead of the preseason. The session followed earlier Sixers camp work that featured James drilling corner 3s as Philadelphia ramped up for the 2026-27 schedule.

Why it matters: Any sign of James moving well in camp will draw attention as Philadelphia builds toward the new season around one of the league's biggest additions. Even routine scrimmage moments carry weight in October because they offer an early read on conditioning, pace and how the group is coming together.

What to watch: Philadelphia's first preseason games will offer the next look at James' role and workload. Camp sessions this week should keep clarifying how quickly the 76ers' rotation takes shape.
