What happened: The New York Liberty have launched a new digital series titled 'Day Ones,' focusing on the personal relationships and off-court chemistry between teammates. The inaugural episode features All-Star center Jonquel Jones and veteran wing Betnijah Laney-Hamilton discussing their first impressions and shared memories.

Why it matters: Team chemistry is a vital component for a Liberty squad currently leading the Eastern Conference and preparing for the Commissioner’s Cup Championship. By highlighting the bonds between key contributors, the franchise aims to deepen fan engagement and showcase the culture driving their seven-game winning streak.

What to watch: The Liberty travel to face the Chicago Sky on June 17 as they look to extend their winning streak. New York will then host the Washington Mystics on June 19 before the month-end Commissioner’s Cup Final.
