A preview from the NY Liberty scrimmage (probably) 😅 Jonquel Jones and Han Xu faced off at the 2022 edition of the #FIB

What happened: FIBA resurfaced footage of Jonquel Jones and Han Xu meeting at the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup in Sydney, framing it as a lighthearted preview of the pair lining up together in a New York Liberty scrimmage. Jones represents the Bahamas internationally while Han Xu anchors China's front line. The two now share a frontcourt in New York.

Why it matters: The clip underscores how the Liberty have assembled international talent who once competed against one another on the world stage. New York enters its current stretch at 11-5 with a seven-game winning streak, and continuity between veterans like Jones and a developing big in Han Xu is central to that run.

By the numbers: New York sits 11-5 this season, riding a seven-game winning streak while scoring 88.0 points per game and allowing 82.2. Han Xu recently crossed 400 career points in a milestone Liberty start.

What to watch: Watch how the Liberty distribute frontcourt minutes between Jones and Han Xu as the regular season continues.
