What happened: Linus Ullmark turned away a breakaway chance right after a penalty expired during overtime. The save preserved the tie and allowed the Ottawa Senators to eventually secure a 3-2 preseason shootout victory over the Nashville Predators.

Why it matters: The sequence highlighted Ullmark's timely goaltending as he settles in with Ottawa ahead of the 2026-27 season. Securing high-danger stops under pressure reinforces the stability he brings to the crease.

What to watch: Ottawa will look to carry the momentum into the start of the regular season.
