What happened: Arizona beat the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 before dropping three straight entering the Detroit matchup. Former Arizona coordinator Drew Petzing now calls plays for Detroit against his former team. Mike LaFleur leads Arizona after Jonathan Gannon was dismissed following a 3-14 finish.

Why it matters: Detroit faces an offense built around Trey McBride and Michael Wilson after their 2025 breakouts. Arizona's reworked line with Isaac Seumalo and rookie Chase Bisontis gets tested after allowing 59 sacks last season. A fourth straight loss would drop Arizona to 1-4 and widen its gap in the NFC West.

By the numbers: Arizona finished 2025 3-14, fourth in the NFC West, 23rd in points scored and 29th allowed with 27th overall DVOA. Jacoby Brissett threw for 3,366 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Trey McBride set a tight-end record with 126 catches for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns, while Michael Wilson posted 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven scores; Josh Sweat led the defense with 12 sacks and four forced fumbles.

What to watch: Watch whether Detroit contains McBride and forces Arizona's ground game to produce. The result sets momentum heading into the Week 6 slate.
