What happened: Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell said he has full movement in his lower body and continues making progress with his upper body. Campbell sustained the neck injury during Detroit's 19-15 win over Minnesota on Nov. 1 and was hospitalized after the contest. He issued the personal update Wednesday to thank supporters for their prayers and outreach.

Why it matters: The third-year linebacker serves as a defensive centerpiece after being drafted 18th overall in 2023. Detroit added depth to the position group this week by signing K.J. Britt to maintain stability across the second level.

By the numbers: Campbell has made 57 tackles in 2026 through 7 games.

What to watch: The Lions continue monitoring Campbell's recovery as he works through rehabilitation. Detroit prepares for its next matchup while evaluating defensive rotations at linebacker.
