What happened: The UFC has scheduled a women's strawweight contest between Godinez and Souza for Oct. 10, according to Mike Bohn and @mma_kings. The bout adds to the developing slate for the Las Vegas event.

Why it matters: Godinez aims to re-establish her position in the 115-pound division following her recent defeat. She faces Souza, who has secured two consecutive victories in the promotion this year.

By the numbers: Godinez last competed at UFC 327 in April, where Suarez submitted her in the second round. Souza holds a 2-0 record in 2026, most recently earning a 94-second knockout against Ariane Carnelossi in June.

What to watch: The promotion is expected to finalize the main event and bout order in the coming weeks.
