Los Angeles Rams Enter Las Vegas Raiders Matchup Depleted Across Both Units

Los Angeles will elevate veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks from the practice squad to help fill the void on a defense trying to snap a two-game losing streak.

What happened: The 2-4 Los Angeles Rams ruled out inside linebacker Nate Landman with a concussion for Sunday's road game against the 3-3 Las Vegas Raiders. Wide receiver Puka Nacua is questionable with a calf issue after missing Friday's practice, while cornerback Trent McDuffie is also questionable with a groin injury after sitting out practice all week. Those absences compound a growing injured reserve list that already includes wide receiver Davante Adams for six to 10 weeks with a hamstring injury and Terrance Ferguson with an ankle injury.

Why it matters: Replacing that much production on both sides of the ball is a tall order for a club sitting 14th in the conference standings. Landman recorded 132 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception across 17 games for the Rams in 2025, forcing Los Angeles to rely on Oct. 6 signee Eric Kendricks and his 143 career starts across 11 seasons. Meanwhile, any limitation for Nacua threatens an offense leaning heavily on a wideout who posted 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games last season, while a compromised McDuffie risks a secondary counting on his seven passes defensed and one interception.
