What happened: Toronto added Max Domi ($3.75M) and Dakota Joshua ($3.25M) to long-term injured reserve. The designations create a combined $7M in additional LTIR cap space.

Why it matters: The room gives Toronto flexibility to fill two roster spots entering the 2026-27 season. LTIR space allows the club to exceed the cap by the designated amounts while the players remain sidelined.

What to watch: Watch how Toronto uses the added room before opening night.
