What happened: Sportsnet analyst JDBunkis praised Toronto's top six for delivering early in the 2026-27 season. He described the stars as making star-player plays.

Why it matters: Early production from the top six sets Toronto's offensive baseline for the regular season. Continued output from the stars reduces pressure on depth forwards and stabilizes line combinations.
