What happened: Marina Mabrey scored a She detonated in the fourth quarter for 21 of those points. Her nine made threes tied the WNBA single-game record.

Why it matters: The barrage made Mabrey just the fourth player in WNBA history to post 35-plus points with nine or more made threes in a single game. It capped a marquee night for a player who was already named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the Tempo earlier this month, and gave Toronto a hard-fought win over a struggling Connecticut side.

By the numbers: Mabrey finished with 37 points on nine made three-pointers, both career highs, with 21 of her points coming in the fourth quarter. The nine triples tied the WNBA single-game record for threes made and made her the fourth player in league history to reach 35-plus points with nine-plus made threes in one game.

What to watch: Watch whether Mabrey can sustain the perimeter scoring as opponents adjust their coverage, and how the win factors into Toronto's positioning the rest of the way.
