What happened: Seattle announced that catcher Cal Raleigh underwent left shoulder AC debridement. First baseman Josh Naylor underwent TFCC repair. The club described both as coming off difficult seasons.

Why it matters: Raleigh and Naylor anchor the middle of Seattle's batting order behind the plate and at first base. Their production shapes the Mariners' offseason roster planning during the 2026 postseason window. Any extended absence would affect lineup construction and depth decisions.

What to watch: Watch for Seattle to outline offseason rehab steps and roster coverage at catcher and first base.
