What happened: The Marlins are slated for a 4:10 PM ET first pitch at home, with the retractable roof set to be closed for the matinee. The club promoted the afternoon date alongside partner PNC Bank, with radio coverage available on Marlins Radio, Radio Mambi 710 and 104.3 WQAM.

Why it matters: Miami enters the day at 38-38, sitting right at .500 and riding a two-game winning streak. Holding serve in home matinees is the kind of result that keeps the club in the mix as the schedule grinds through June.

By the numbers: Miami is 38-38 on the season, going 3-2 over its last five with a current two-game winning streak. The Marlins are averaging 4.3 runs per game while allowing 4.4, and their biggest result of the year was a 12-0 shutout against Atlanta on May 18.

What to watch: Watch for the 4:10 PM ET first pitch with the roof closed, and whether Miami can extend its winning streak to three in the afternoon setting.
