What happened: MLB approved Mason Miller's placement on the postseason paternity list. He will be unavailable for a minimum of one day and a maximum of three days. Wandy Peralta replaces him on the roster during the absence.

Why it matters: Losing a late-inning arm for up to three days narrows bullpen options in October. The timing shifts high-leverage innings to the remaining relievers during a postseason series.

What to watch: Miller is eligible to return within one to three days under paternity-list rules. Watch daily roster moves for his activation.
