What happened: Chicago carries the 22-year-old as a G League Ignite product on its 2026-27 preseason roster. Oct. 20 falls in the final week of preseason before opening-night rotations set.

Why it matters: Third seasons often settle rotation order and extension timelines for young wings. The same Buzelis who went 4-for-4 from three for 12 third-quarter points after favoring his right leg Oct. 9 factors into early wing depth if available.

By the numbers: 12 points on 4-for-4 from three in third quarter; exited Oct. 9 preseason game favoring right leg.

What to watch: Chicago finishes preseason before finalizing opening-night wing minutes.
