What happened: Matthew Knies will make an appearance on the Columbus Blue Jackets' "Inside Edge" radio program Thursday night. The forward is scheduled to join the broadcast on 97.1 The Fan at 7 p.m. to discuss his transition to his new organization.

Why it matters: The interview provides Knies an opportunity to address his arrival in Columbus following a late-September trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs. It marks his first extended public comments since being dealt for Kirill Marchenko and Elvis Merzlikins.

What to watch: The broadcast will also feature the debut of an "Ask the Jackets" segment as Columbus continues its preseason preparations.
