What happened: Per Sports Illustrated, rival teams continue to monitor a Dallas starter for potential trade talks. Dallas rebuffed outside interest in July and opened camp with 20 players under contract.

Why it matters: Keeping a starter through camp preserves lineup continuity for the upcoming 2026-27 season. A 20-man camp roster leaves Dallas with cuts to weigh if talks advance.

What to watch: Watch camp cuts and whether monitoring turns into formal talks.
