What happened: Max Strus said the group has plenty of players ready to compete this season. The comment comes in the early run-up to the 2026-27 preseason after his Aug. 20 move into the Clippers' roster.

Why it matters: Strus is one of the clearer offseason additions, so even a short public remark helps frame expectations around how quickly the new group is expected to come together. It also points to internal competition for minutes and lineup spots as camp turns toward preseason action.

What to watch: Training-camp usage and preseason rotations will give the first real read on Strus' place in the group. Those decisions should offer more substance than early-season messaging.
