What happened: The four-time champion stood atop the podium at the Marina Bay Street Circuit to secure his second consecutive grand prix victory of the season. The result ends a demanding stretch covering Baku, Sepang, and Singapore.

Why it matters: The triumph provides Red Bull with a much-needed momentum boost after a largely Mercedes-dominated 2026 campaign. Verstappen closes the triple-header having finished second in the first leg before winning the final two.

By the numbers: Prior to Sunday, he had recorded second-place finishes at the track in 2018, 2024, and 2025. Madrid is now the only active circuit where he has yet to win.

What to watch: The team will look to extend its streak in Austin at the United States Grand Prix.
