What happened: Atlanta ruled out CJ McCollum with a nose contusion and Lu Dort with a right knee contusion for tonight against Memphis. The game opens the preseason slate at StateFarmArena at 7 PM ET.

Why it matters: The absences shift early preseason backcourt minutes to depth options behind the projected rotation. McCollum enters camp after the same McCollum who agreed to a one-year extension in June, making availability a roster watch early.

What to watch: Watch the next game-status update for whether either returns for the second preseason date.
