What happened: Michael DiPietro and Frederic Brunet reached career milestones during last night's 4-2 victory against the Anaheim Ducks. The pair combined for a first NHL goal and a first NHL win on the same night.

Why it matters: Sharing simultaneous career firsts provides an early boost for the young roster additions. The milestone night comes during the regular season as both players look to establish roles in the lineup.

What to watch: DiPietro and Brunet will look to build on their milestone performances when the schedule resumes.
