What happened: Michael King departed his postseason start without recording an out in the sixth inning. The right-hander finished his outing with 72 pitches thrown.

Why it matters: The early hook for Michael King was a notable shift given his strong form throughout October. He was making a pivotal appearance in Game 2 with his club trailing 1-0 in the playoff series.

What to watch: The team will clarify whether the abbreviated outing was a strategic decision or tied to a physical issue.
