What happened: Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout has secured 926,601 votes in the first 2026 All-Star Ballot update, placing him second among American League outfielders. The three-time MVP trails only Aaron Judge as fans weigh in on the initial phase of voting for the Midsummer Classic.

Why it matters: The strong turnout marks a return to form for Trout, who is vying for his first All-Star appearance since 2019 following several injury-plagued campaigns. Despite a lower batting average, his league-leading run production and power numbers have kept the Angels icon at the center of the national conversation as the team navigates a difficult AL West standings climb.

What to watch: Phase 1 of All-Star voting continues through June 25, with the top two vote-getters at each position advancing to determine the starters. The Angels continue their desert road trip against the Diamondbacks.
