What happened: Boston opened camp with Robinson featured as one of its new frontcourt faces ahead of the 2026-27 preseason. His arrival gives the Celtics another true center as the team reshapes its interior mix.

Why it matters: Boston has already started defining that depth chart, with Robinson positioned near the front of the center group alongside Neemias Queta while Luka Garza sits behind them. That battle matters for a team still sorting its size and rebounding going into opening night.

What to watch: Exhibition lineups should show how Boston plans to divide center minutes once preseason games begin. Robinson's early workload will be one of the clearest tells in camp.
