What happened: Major League Baseball announced the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers will meet for a third time in the National League Championship Series. The league noted that Brandon Woodruff remains the last primary pitcher to hit a home run in a postseason game.

Why it matters: The retrospective fact highlights previous October encounters between the two franchises. The same Brandon Woodruff is unavailable for the upcoming series after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in July.

What to watch: The teams will finalize their pitching rotations before the series begins.
