What happened: Monken signaled quarterback continuity for Sunday and said there were "some really good things on film" in Watson's play. The comment came after Cleveland finished with 10 points in a 34-10 final.

Why it matters: The endorsement keeps Watson at the center of Cleveland's immediate plan at quarterback. Watson is in the final year of his Browns contract, so each start carries weight beyond a single week.

What to watch: The next read comes when Cleveland opens its week of practice and Monken speaks again. Sunday's lineup will show whether that postgame endorsement holds.
