That Mookie Betts just makes that play routinely now probably shouldn't get lost. Via @Alden_Gonzalez on X

What happened: Mookie Betts converted the chance cleanly while holding the leadoff spot in October.

Why it matters: Clean innings carry extra weight in October, when one misplay can swing a series. His September bat backed up the glove work with seven home runs.

What to watch: Watch whether the defense stays this quiet the rest of October.
