"There's a lot of talent... we go out and we just play." Ahead of tonight's #MLBNShowcase presented by @goodyear, Mooki Via @MLBNetwork on X

What happened: Mookie Betts spoke with Harold ahead of tonight's MLBN Showcase, presented by Goodyear, discussing the Dodgers' talent and their plan heading into the second half. Betts described the team's approach simply: go out and play.

Why it matters: Los Angeles enters the stretch at 58-33 but has dropped three straight, going 1-4 over its last five games. The comments come as the Dodgers face questions about further additions ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline, with the club already surfacing as a suitor for Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal.

By the numbers: Dodgers: 58-33 this season, averaging 5.3 runs scored and 3.7 allowed, last five games LLLWL.

What to watch: Los Angeles looks to snap its skid as the second half opens and the front office weighs a Skubal pursuit before the deadline.
