What happened: The Chicago Sky announced that Morgan Maly has been converted from a developmental contract to a standard contract. The move officially upgrades her roster status during the WNBA postseason.

Why it matters: The former Creighton guard originally joined the organization in mid-August after spending time in training camps with Connecticut and Phoenix. The standard deal provides guaranteed roster status and secures additional backcourt depth for the remainder of the campaign.

By the numbers: Maly averaged 18.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for Olympiacos in Greece during the 2025-26 season. She is also Creighton's all-time leader with 333 career three-pointers.

What to watch: Watch for her potential utilization in upcoming postseason rotation decisions.
