What happened: The Washington Mystics travel to face the Minnesota Lynx tonight, with tip scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on NBA TV. Washington arrives on a two-game winning streak and is looking to make it three in a row on the road. Minnesota enters as the WNBA's top team in the standings.

Why it matters: The matchup pits a Lynx side that has dominated all season against a Mystics team hovering at .500 and trying to build momentum. A road win over the league leaders would be a marquee result for Washington and a sign its recent surge is real, while Minnesota aims to protect home court and keep its grip on the No. 1 seed.

By the numbers: Minnesota is 16-3 this season, scoring 90.3 points per game while allowing a league-stingy 77.9, and enters on a three-game win streak (last five WWWLW). Washington is 8-8, scoring 81.2 and allowing 84.6, riding a two-game streak (last five WWLWL). In their most recent meeting, on April 25, Minnesota came out ahead 77-66. The Lynx are listed as with the total set at 169.5.

What to watch: Watch whether Washington can extend its streak against the league's best defense, and how Minnesota responds at home in defense of the top seed.
