What happened: Mauricio Pochettino's September-October squad includes Pierre as one of the new faces brought into the senior pool. His inclusion had surfaced a day earlier as part of an expected youth-heavy window.

Why it matters: A first senior look marks another step up for a prospect whose profile has climbed quickly this month. It follows the same run that had Neil Pierre at four goals in seven games on Sept. 1, tying the selection to current form.

What to watch: Next up is whether Pierre makes a matchday squad and earns his senior debut during the Sept.-Oct. window.
